2010 Emu Chicks for sale. $150.00 plus $15.00 per month we maintain
them. Chicks available from March through May hatches.
We have
worked on our bloodlines for 15 years and are very proud of our friendly,
fertile and productive birds. All are easy to handle, love to be
petted and will make great pets.
For those pursuing commercial use,
many of our hens are laying 40-46 eggs per year, our fertility rates are in
the high 90% and our 2010 processing of 12-14 month old birds yielded an
average of 26.84 pounds of fat with 28.2 pounds of meat.

A Working Emu Farm in Western Massachusetts

records of egg production, fertility and vitality at least three generations
back. Participation in a superior feed and natural supplement program (no
hormones or antibiotics), coupled with a focus on genetics and the
"art/science" of phenotyping has produced birds of exceptional size, quality and
temperament.
Songline also sells emu meat, oil and leather products in an on-site farm store, on line and
through a catalog. The Farm Store is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday
afternoons from 12-5pm. People frequently are available to assist you at
